FACES Baby Bank
Providing essential items & hope for babies and young children in our community
At FACES Baby Bank, we believe every child deserves a safe, comfortable start to life. We are a dedicated team of volunteers, led by our Chair of Trustees, working with local community organisations to support families in Bedford and the surrounding area with much needed essentials for children under 7.

Through a mix of second-hand and new items, plus carefully-curated bundles, we aim to lighten the load for parents and carers who may be overwhelmed by the costs or logistics of baby-life. All of our support, donations and referrals are handled with care, dignity, and respect.

Whether you are a family needing help, a professional wanting to refer someone, or a kind donor wanting to give items or financial support — there is a way for you to get involved.

Baby Bank is powered by a passionate team of volunteers and overseen by our trustees. Together, we work to build a community where families feel supported during challenging times.

As part of FACES, we are deeply embedded in Bedford’s community life and proud members of the Baby Bank Alliance, working alongside similar organisations across the country.
What We Do
We provide a wide range of essentials for babies and children, including:

Clothes, shoes and school uniforms

Baby equipment such as cots, buggies and highchairs

Nappies, formula, toiletries and baby food

Specialised bundles tailored to a child’s age and family’s needs
Each year we support hundreds of families, ensuring children have what they need for a safe and healthy start.
How It Works
Baby Bank relies on the generosity of local people, businesses and volunteers. Donations of new and pre-loved items are received by appointment and carefully prepared before being distributed.

Referrals are made through professionals such as health visitors, schools and charities to ensure the right support reaches the right families. All collections, drop-offs and requests are strictly by appointment to keep the process smooth and discreet.

All collections and donations are currently by appointment via email or phone. Please do not take them to the Community Centre or the Baby Bank without a confirmed appointment.
